  • Develop and implement financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the tour operator company
  • Monitor, analyze and interpret financial performance data, identifying revenue and cost drivers, pricing structures, and profitability margins to optimize business operations and implement corrective actions
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance measurement frameworks to track business performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive business growth and profitability
  • Utilize financial modeling, scenario analysis, and data analysis tools to evaluate the financial impact of potential business initiatives, pricing strategies, and cost optimization initiatives
  • Utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create insightful and visually appealing reports and dashboards, facilitating effective communication and understanding of financial information
  • Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management, highlighting key financial indicators, trends, and insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business strategies, ensuring financial objectives are aligned with company goals
  • Oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and accounted for
What you need to succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus
  • Proven experience as a Business Controller in the tourism industry, with a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data, including revenue and cost drivers, pricing structures, and profitability margins
  • Experience with development and implementation of performance measurement frameworks
  • Proficient in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial planning software) as well as in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis to identify trends, risks & opportunities, and support strategic decision-making to drive business growth and profitability
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and techniques to analyze and optimize cost structures within the tour operator business
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
